HOW invested £75,000 in two independent user-research studies conducted by Milieu, each involving 3,000 participants—6,000 in total—across academic and business audiences. One study covered the UK, Qatar and Saudi Arabia; the second focused on the UK.

Participants found HOW easy to use, saw it improving the quality of decisions and wanted it in their own organisations. Collective intelligence depends on people choosing to take part, so an approach that supports human judgement, collaboration and accountable decisions has to be one people want to use. That is what this research set out to understand.
